Enzo Mari Timor Calendar - Herman Miller

This desk calendar was designed to be modular, flexible, and to be used perpetually. Its clever date, month, and numeral cards are fixed to a central pivot, hide discreetly in the calendar's arm, and can be fanned out to display the correct date. Italian designer is Enzo Mari is known for encouraging unlikely forms of participation and interaction in his works. He created this calendar in 1967 for Danese and it has since been included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.

The Responsible Object: A History of Design Ideology for the Future

Adjectives like "sustainable," "green" and "eco" describe this new wave of socially committed design. But though today's conditions are urgent and particular, the ideologies behind these new products are often not totally new, but rather a part of design history. Contemporary sustainable design is just the newest chapter of a story that stretches back throughout the previous centuries. The Responsible Object presents a selected history of socially committed design strategies within the Western design tradition of roughly the last 150 years, from William Morris to Victor Papanek, and from VKhUTEMAS to FabLab. It includes about 20 interstitial mini-posters with slogans from the text, printed on different colored papers.

6in USB powered LED Ring light with swivel arm

OK, so form follows function right. With this babies all function. This ring lights got 3 color setting from daylight to warm light. This makes it great for product shots on your desk. The 6 inch size is way better than some of these huge ring lights that are out there. It doesn't have a clip for a phone, but that a good thing because it lets you position the phone where you will get the best shot.
Do you zoom? I'm sure you zoom. Well this is a great light for zooming. Its dimmable so you are all squinty when zooming. No one wants to have good lighting but be squinty while zooming.
Did I mention this is USB powered. Thats right you don't need another wall wort taking up a slot in your ever diminishing power strip, nope you just need to plug it into your USB hub with its ever diminishing slots.
Really this think has been great, and is very inexpensive. Its a great desktop option for lightingOK, so form follows function right. With this babies all function. The looking Glass Portrait lets you see the 3d world the way you should...in 3D. Really it's fricken cool. You are then supposed to put it in the freezer for 2 hours to get harder ice cream. 2 HOURS...who wants to wait 2 hours for ice cream?!
Well, rest at ease fellow designers, because here is the Sweet spot ice cream maker and it really does make ice cream in 30 seconds. I could explain how, but it's more fun to watch the videos at the many places you can buy it.
Amazon has it for a deal, and it has 674 reviews at 4.5 stars!

A lightweight dress sock in a beautiful Japanese inspired floral pattern. Knit in North Carolina from USA grown and spun Supima cotton, one of the finest extra-long staple cotton fibers in the world. This sock looks great with all manner of business dressing from suits to chinos, but go easily with boots and sneakers.
I may not go in to work anymore but I still like getting my good socks on, and these are really good. A lightweight dress sock in a beautiful Japanese inspired floral pattern. The Laundress hoarse hair broom

Not to mention we are inside so much more right now. this mess is getting out of control. So just sweep it away, sweep all of 2020 away. Why lug out the vacuum when there’s a broom that’s quicker and more effective? The Horse Hair Broom easily grabs dust and dirt particles from large surfaces and floors. Unlike most brooms, this one won’t leave a trail of strands behind. This handmade tool will last a lifetime.
